What was your most memorable experience during the shooting of your favorite model-campaign?
Sofia: One of my favorite campaigns that I will always remember deep in my heart is the one I did when I was pregnant with my first son. What a beautiful feeling to shoot while inside of me, there was the biggest love of my life. It was a campaign for an important beachwear brand, I remember no one believed I was pregnant for 3 month already. Now my son looks at those pictures and knows he was already with me.
What do you enjoy most of the modeling?
Sofia: Photography has always been a passion of mine. I love the art of photography, and I like to trap emotion. I am fascinated by the magical moment created while shooting and the relationship with the camera. Furthermore, this is a job that allows you to travel a lot, to meet special people, important artists and designers.
Tell us more about the begin of your career as a model.
Sofia: I started discovering the world of fashion after realizing that a career as a lawyer wasn't for me. My mother, an important international law criminal lawyer, dreamed of me taking over her law firm. But in 2013, they chose me for the worldwide Brosway jewelry campaign, and I haven't stopped working in the fashion world since. Everything happened so quickly I didn't realize what was happening, but I was literally everywhere tv, the internet, and magazines.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
Sofia: Everyone makes mistakes, and they help you to improve. To achieve success, you have to go through many falls. Then comes the moment where you win, but it is a consequence of all the journey and efforts made.
In five years from now, where do you see yourself and your career?
Sofia: I don't like planning my life; I prefer to live it without expectations. Instead, I like to live every day as if it were unique. I try to improve and do something new every day. I hope that my future is not predictable and that it holds many new emotions and challenges for me.
What sorts of settings/clothes/brands do you prefer to shoot for or wear?
Sofia: I would definitely like to shoot a campaign for a women's perfume. I've never done it, and I'm a lover of perfumes in general. I believe that perfume says a lot about a person and is the real accessory that a woman must have. When I was a child, I always admired the beauty of the model in the Chanel n 5 campaign.
Success is such a subjective concept that everyone likely views it differently. How do you define success?
Sofia: Success is definitely the achievement of a goal. It's nice to get to the finish line of something that was set. So it's something that concerns us personally, and that shouldn't be mistaken for popularity. I believe that to be successful, you have to work hard constantly.
You have a lot of Social Media fans. How do you feel about and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Sofia: Today's world is on social media. I like to have a direct relationship with those who follow me. I appreciate it. There are people who have watched me grow and have supported me, and that is priceless. On the other hand, I would be happy if some of my work could be an inspiration for someone. Having dreams to achieve is the most important thing. If you don't dream, you don't live a real life.
How do you keep in shape?
Sofia: Stay fit is important and essential to my job. But I keep fit starting from the mind. Meanwhile, I listen to my body and its needs. I eat healthy: I have an almost vegetarian diet. I walk a lot and work out a lot. I recently discovered cryotherapy, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
What is your time management philosophy?
Sofia: Planning your time is essential in life, but it becomes even more after you become a mother. I am a mother and a wife. So I absolutely have to divide my time according to urgencies and priorities. Scheduling moments with my children. I also understood that more than quantity, it is quality that makes the difference in commitment. My ideal day must be divided into three times: a time for me, my mind, my work, and my body. A second time for my children. And a third time dedicated to my husband and our couple.
